Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together…. Paul Ryan

Diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV and tuberculosis are common diseases amongst the poor in rural parts of India.  With no medical facilities in the villages where we work, the sick usually have to travel to larger population centres to seek medical treatment.  This can be difficult for the elderly and those with young children, so diseases sometimes go undetected or untreated.

With the assistance of the Russ Foundation and medical staff from Madurai, our project runs medical camps so villagers can be tested for various diseases and receive free medicines and vaccinations.  Mini medical clinics are also held at the Children’s Home a few times a year.
