Shalom is proud to be a partner of Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993) an Australian DFAT approved NGO carrying out humanitarian projects around the world with approved partners.
Our GDG project, Shalom Community Development Projects (Global Development Group Project J514N) is run in partnership with Global Development Group Australia. Global Development Group provides a governance role, assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, evaluating, auditing and compliance to ensure that the project is carried out to Australian standards.
The GDG project has four main goals:
To reduce homelessness, poverty and hunger amongst orphans, widows and abandoned children.
Improve the rural poor’s access to educational services and resources.
Improve access to health services in rural communities.
Improve the rural poor’s capacity to earn income.
Gifts over $2 directed to GDG for GDG Project J514N - Shalom Community Development Projects are tax deductible in Australia and the USA. If excess funds are received they may be applied to other approved activities.* NB No welfare, political or evangelistic activities are funded or part of the GDG project.
