Shalom was proud to be a partner of Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993) an Australian DFAT approved NGO carrying out humanitarian projects around the world with approved partners.
Our GDG project, Shalom Community Development Projects (Global Development Group Project J514N) was run in partnership with Global Development Group Australia 2008 to 2024. Global Development Group provided a governance role, assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, evaluating, auditing and compliance to ensure that the project was carried out to Australian standards.
The GDG project had four main goals:
To reduce homelessness, poverty and hunger amongst orphans, widows and abandoned children.
Improve the rural poor’s access to educational services and resources.
Improve access to health services in rural communities.
Improve the rural poor’s capacity to earn income.
